Another week has passed without a blog post. I've not been away I just haven't felt the urge to blog. My life is actually very boring, I work full time and like a quiet life. I'm also quite guarded about what I do share and certainly wouldn't want to bore you with the mundane aspects of my life.
So what have I been up to?
Swimming is going well. I'm trying to go everyday before work and it is really lifting my mood for the day especially in this heat. I do think my back and joints are appreciating some exercise!
Date night with hubby. This used to be a regular occurrence, hubs would come and meet me from work and we would go grab a few drinks and find somewhere to eat. Working from home has impacted but we set a date and off we went.
We went into Bristol centre, but stayed clear of the harborside as it was packed. We walked around , found somewhere nice to grab a meal and then walked a little more stopping for a couple more drinks before heading home and sitting in the garden till midnight !
It's extremely hot here in Cornwall at present but we're told that temperatures will drop from Friday onwards. I hope you have somewhere quiet in mind, away from the madding crowds. There are literally thousands already here, cars parked haphazardly anywhere that can be found.
ReplyDelete2 of the nights are at Perranporth and will be honest am dreading the crowds!
DeleteSchools break up tomorrow, so as usual I shall keep off the roads and avoid the coast for the foreseeable. I don't do crowds, I'm afraid, so I'm waiting until we have rain before venturing out. Take a book and a picnic and have the rear door open for fresh air and birdsong. But next Tuesday I'm being taken by a friend to Plymouth (ugh!) for an Assessment on my cataracts, then hopefully an appointment for the operation shortly afterwards. Then watch me GO!!!
DeleteI'm staying home now the school holidays have started; the roads are busy, grass verges near the coas are like car parks and I feel very much safer by staying well away from the crowds, which are even worse this year because of the difficulty in travelling abroad. Today, it is cooler and much more pleasant; my fan is not needed, though Benji is disappointed! He jumped up on the pouffe and sat staring at the fan, then at me, as if to say, "Switch it on, then!"
DeleteI totally understand, we are hope for some rain, despite going to Cornwall, it does mean people are less likely to go to the coast. But it is what it is and I will enjoy it what ever. I hope the hospital appointment goes ok.
DeleteYour life and blog posts are far from boring. The Wild Place looks fabulous and would be somewhere I'd love to visit. Enjoy your leave and holiday time in Cornwall and I hope you can find the less crowded places so you can relax.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The wild place was fab, I am tempted to get a yearly ticket as its such a nice place to walk round.
DeleteThe Wild Place looks far from boring :)
ReplyDeleteI understand completely. It's not always easy combining a busy life with blogging.
Have fun in Cornwall! X
