January.

Where has January gone?
Seriously is it February tomorrow?
It's been one mad busy month.

The good news is it's now official, I have a new job, notice has been given on my current job and the news is starting to trickle about, I am not one for a sing and dance, preferring a quiet exit and telling people in my own time. The 8 week notice period is going to be hard, but if its anything Like January it will whizz by.

Last weekend Junior started his private maths tuition, Exam season is looming and this is one subject he needs to get a really good grade in for his college place, seemed to go ok, he likes the tutor so its a good start and 1 hour of 1:1 math per week will hopefully get his grades up, she has a PHD/masters degree in engineering so can link the maths to the STEM subjects which will help him immensely.

My mobile phone contract was due for an upgrade so I have gone and done it, sod being frugal I want a fancy phone with a great camera, I have never ever had an i-phone, so this seemed like a good a time as any to go get me one...oh my, its so pretty..

i-phone 7 plus

I am in love
Although I do have to say, it nearly killed me trying to set it up, needed to take a trip back to the store then get no 1 son to do a lot of setting up for me, but now...
easy peasy.
Junior was happy as he got to have my old HTC desire eye phone with a sim  upgrade so he has more internet usage, sim only pay monthly , cancel when ever you want.

So after all our gadding about we took time to stop and try out our camera phones. here's the results of the 7 plus

no fancy filters, just snapping about, did use the portrait mode on the hound and did some black and white portraits of the boys which are lovely but not sharing on the Internet, unless they let me. But I am really happy with the camera, oh and did i mention facetime? luckily my close friend has an iphone so we can get to talk 'live' blooming fabulous..

Hello and welcome 2017.

Today is the last day of my leave, its back to work tomorrow. a new year beckons and I have a good feeling about this one. I like to have goals for the coming year, some mad, but you have to dream eh?

This year I am not sharing them, I am going to keep them tucked away for my own private use, they may change over the course of the year, by not sharing I don't have to give explanations or reasons should I change my mind, no added pressure, just me trying to change a few things which ultimately will start to mould my future path.

As a sucker for stationary and all things pretty I went and bought a life goals book. I have been checking in on Leonie's blog for the past year so its not a rush purchase, last year I did print some pages, but I do much better with a hard bound notebook

Its very visual, pretty and a little bit wacky, which is why it appeals to me. I am very good at goal setting in the work place but not so good at doing it for me, I really do want to make some changes this year and am hoping that making small changes will lead to the bigger changes that I dream about. Got to be worth a try right? Just have to wait for it to arrive from Australia!

I will leave you with some pics from this mornings walk with the hound, used my phone camera.

Just down to 'The Beach' one of the few places he is relaxed in and will have a free run. [and roll in the mud]

Cruising the Norwegian Fjords.

To celebrate reaching 60 I decided to tick off one of the bucket list holidays. I am very grateful I have a good job which pays well enough ...
