Weekending.

Last week junior was invited to do something hes never done before,
me being me asked if I could go along. wow, it was fab.
Want to know what he did?

We headed over the bridge to the National Dive Centre

It was a fabulous day, blue skies and sunshine with a touch of moody grey clouds!

I have never been to the place before, but will definitely go back. This is the lake where you can learn to dive. jet ski, or try out the fly boards , there's even some segways there too, then if you are really brave zip over the lake! pretty blooming expensive though, juniors friend got a  cheap deal on groupon for the swing, and it was so booked we couldn't get on anything else.

Its pretty blooming big, see the little red blob by the side of the swing, thats juniors head and hes almost 6 foot!, the swing gets pulled right to the top of the back pole then lets go, right over the edge and its a pretty steep drop to the quarry lake below!

The boys were pretty cool about it when we got there, 'its just a swing' boy I wish I could post the video with them screaming like pigs! check out the ;link above for the swing to watch a video on the website.

It was an amazing afternoon. Really pleased I jumped in and went to watch.
The evening was then adult time, dinner with friends, out on a saturday night, what ever next!

Prosecco with Hibiscus flowers
Yum !

Sunday the boys went off to see an art installation  for some father/son time, they raved about it, it was one of the artists who was involved in Banksy's Dismaland exhibition. It was an artist called Jimmy Cauty, and the exhibition was called

It was in a shipping container which had peepholes around it so you had to look in on it, the boys loved it'
Another fab weekend.

April.

I didn't really post much in April.
Brain fog set in,  bit of a blah mood, it happens, I deal with it and move on.
Didn't stop us having a good month though.

Started off with a camping weekend at Bude

then  a weekend stay on Lundy

celebrated no 1 sons 18th Birthday

planted the seeds I bought

 snuck off to Wonderwool

worked out the tension on my new wheel so I could spin some yarn

read some books, knitted a few lines, coloured lots.
Walked, walking is my new go to for clearing the brain.
Met with friends and made plans to meet again.

When I look back I realise, what a fab month, I have a good life.
Here's to making May just as good.

Wonderwool..

Last weekend I set off for a solo adventure,
Just a day trip, but time for me.

I went to wonderwool in Builth Wales, the drive over was beautiful, clear blue skies and sunshine, pretty long trek over but well worth it.

Sadly I didn't take my camera and my phone was almost flat, but I did get  a few pics

Amazing 'above and beyond' exhibition by Alison Murray
wish I had taken more pics.

And of course cute wooly animals

I was very restrained, stuck to my budget!

Both sets of yarn destined for shawls
rainbow set below is already on the needles!

Then something a bit different

Always wanted to try needle felting, and just loved the christmas heart.
I may well gift the stitched Christmas heart, if I can bear to let it go.

Fabulous day out was had, crafting batteries were recharged, lots of inspiration and ideas gathered.
If you are a wooly crafter its definitely worth a trip.

Cruising the Norwegian Fjords.

To celebrate reaching 60 I decided to tick off one of the bucket list holidays. I am very grateful I have a good job which pays well enough ...
