One of the joys of having friends that love books as much as yourself is you get given books!
This weekend Cornish friend gave me a huge pile to bring home and add to my 'to read' pile. Said 'to read' pile is not shrinking as planned.
My diary of adventures with a smattering of crafts , books and daily life. All whilst balancing that work / life thing until I decide to retire!

The journey was uneventful, I watched some podcasts and knit some more on the 2nd sock. Before I knew it I was home to a very excited Rosiedog, with both sons and hubby at home.
I love my weekends away but I do love coming home.
What a fabulous day. Up and out early to Maenporth beach
I've been to this beach every year since 1996. Our children came here with us, there are so many memories.
Then it was off to Breage to visit St Breaca's Church.
This was such an interesting church and full of history.
Then ut was off to Perranuthnoe to meet friends for lunch and a walk on the beach.
To finish the day we headed to Marazion for a walk along the beach to walk off the Sunday lunch!
It was a fabulous day well spent with friends.
How lovely to wake up in Cornwall , even better when you get up and see a blue sky.
After a quick breakfast we set off to make the most of the weather. Do not be deceived it was bitterly cold.
We headed over to Cuberts Common, parked the car and set off. We walked down to Polly Joke beach then after a quick cuppa from the flask head up and around the headland towards Crantock beach. Then it was back around to the car.
After a very busy week at work it's finally Friday. What's even better is its a 4 day weekend and I'm fully recovered from the lurgy.
I'm off on an adventure to visit my Cornish friend, just me, even Rosiedog is staying home. Whilst ill miss them all I am so looking forward to catching up with my friend and enjoying some sea air.
The year has been flying by and with Rosie's operation and our holiday I just needed to switch some things off. Rosie is now recovered, with the op looking like it was a success and the holiday to Lanzarote was just what I needed, a week to switch off and relax.
I really enjoyed a week with no plans and not having to think about anyone or anything. Rosie was in safe hands with no 1 son who had taken a week off to look after her. We walked loads and it really gave me the thinking space that I haven't had for quite a while. Very sadly I did make lists whilst I was away........
I came back full of beans and raring to go, unfortunately I then came down with this nasty cold bug, not Covid, and am only just coming out of that. Hubs has been away so with feeling poorly I have had yet more quite time which translated to sofa laying, knitting and cuddles with Rosie.
Hubs and I decided to head down to see our Cornish friend for Easter. Rosie dog came along too, after all her friend big B lives with said ...
