Lundy.

During May half term we hopped over to Lundy for a short 3 night stay. This was our 3rd stay on Lundy and the best weather yet. Lundy is not everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely love it hopefully I will get to go back again.
This is a picture heavy post.

Waving.

Still here, took a break as had some major changes happening at work. Things are starting to settle for now, but there will be further work changes in the near future and not quite sure how that's going to pan out. These changes are employer driven and not by choice But for now, things are settling. I'm working back in the city centre and using public transport which has been great as the weather has been fab, but ask me if I am still enjoying it when the weather turns.

I have had a couple of mini breaks whilst I have been away, our trip to Lundy was fabulous and I will do a post with pictures as it was the first time we have ever had blue skies and sun on Lundy. We have a couple more weekend breaks planned before we head off to France for a longer summer break.

I have completely fallen off of the diet bandwagon, back to where I started. I blame the sunshine and our little mini breaks for that. On a positive, using public transport means I am walking more so it could have been a whole lot worse. So instead of worrying about it I decided to embrace it and just be me, off went the long hair, snipped it right back and love it, still naturally silver, no dye here. Then went on a clothes shopping spree to bring colour into my life, I even bought linen dresses ! me in a dress, really... yup.. still not brave enough to show the legs so they have been worn with varying length leggings, but it suits the type of dresses I bought . I feel a whole lot more confident and have had some positive comments. The wardrobe had a savage makeover..

I went on a serger sewing course to learn how to use my new to me serger, boy was that tricky, I think I must have bought the most complicated serger anywhere, no wonder my friend sold it unused. Since then I haven't had the opportunity to get it out, hubs and I seem to be having a whirlwind of a social life and most weekends are off doing something. No sewing has been done since my last post.

Knitting projects are multiplying, I seem to have a very bad case of startitis, a post will follow [not sure when] with what I have been up to.

Reading has taken a whole new angle, not driving means that I am not using my audible, its back to old fashioned paperbacks, its great, despite having a kindle I do love a real book. Currently just about to start reading this

here's what the blurb says.

Plum Kettle does her best not to be noticed, because when you're fat, to be noticed is to be judged. Or mocked. Or worse.
But when a mysterious woman starts following her, Plum finds herself involved with an underground community of women who live life on their own terms. At the same time, a dangerous guerrilla group called "Jennifer" begins to terrorize a world that mistreats women. As Plum grapples with her personal struggles, she becomes entangled in a sinister plot, the consequences of which are explosive.
Part coming-of-age story, part revenge fantasy, Dietland is a bold, original and funny debut that takes on the beauty industry, gender equality and our weight loss obsession - from the inside out, and with fists flying.

Other than that life ticks over, all is good .

To celebrate reaching 60 I decided to tick off one of the bucket list holidays. I am very grateful I have a good job which pays well enough ...
