Waving.

Still here.
Trying to wave not drown, life is busy and stuff happens ! I had to step away and take time to breathe and think. To be honest this is the first time I have even looked at my blog for a while.

One of the 'things that happen' that I feel able to blog about is the untimely death of our poor hound, 'Max'.

Just over 2 weeks ago he had a series of Epileptic fits over a 24 hr period that left him with significant side effects, we sadly had to make the decision to have him put to sleep as he was very unwell. It was one of the most traumatic 24 hrs of my life. He had been seizure free for almost 6 months, and it was like a time bomb just went off and his brain went mad. He was only 5.

To say we are devastated is an understatement, the house is so quiet [ and clean !] and we still expect him to come running up to greet us when we get in. He was such a large and characterful boy, who had us wrapped around his little paw ! Our whole life revolved around him, I kid you not. Its like we don't know what to do now.

We have picked his ashes up this week and will go and scatter him in one of his favourite places this weekend. Our previous lurcher, Kingley, was also scattered there so he won't be alone.

Cruising the Norwegian Fjords.

To celebrate reaching 60 I decided to tick off one of the bucket list holidays. I am very grateful I have a good job which pays well enough ...
