A quiet weekend at home.

This weekend we are staying at home. No 1 son is away for the weekend and no 2 son and hubby have gone off to a beer festival with some of their friends.  I am so looking forward to a quiet relaxed weekend. I love going away but I also love being at home, just poddling about. Especially when the house is all mine!

Before Hubs left for the festival we took Rosiedog across the fields at the back, it was very quiet, normally there are a few other dog walkers but this morning the field was ours

Rosie loves to run [and roll] in the long grass, we've still not got to the stage where we can let her off. She's far to friendly and excitable, so we almost always end up tabled. But she loves it. It was then home for a healthy English breakfast eaten in the garden. What a lovely way to start the day. 

Now I have the whole house to myself, its not often that that happens. Rosie and I will be poddling about and sitting in the shade. I have a whole list of things Id like to do, mainly getting my crafty stuff organised and works in progress sorted. I have hardly knit a thing this week as I have been engrossed in my book

I finally finished it yesterday and I have to say it was a relief. This is one big hardback book and pretty heavy to hold whilst reading. I have no idea why they delay the paperback versions. I really should have bought it on kindle. I enjoyed the book it was nice to round up the Seven sisters series.

I've now downloaded a nice Cornish Chic Lit book on my kindle, gentle reading over the next week.

Now I am going to pull out all my Knitting WIPS, sort through them and decide what lovely thing I am going to knit on this week. I really need to try and get some finished but as always I love a new cast on and there is one pending this week, im just waiting on some extra yarn to arrive. Despite my huge stash I did indeed go and buy more yarn. Oops.
