WIP Wednesday.

I have a number of projects on the go, it's getting a bit overwhelming to be honest, so I have decided to try and focus on 1 project at a time and get some of them finished.  

This week I have chosen my ' Summer Stripes' sweater. This has been inspired by the contrast between the sky and the trees over summer, not your traditional ice cream or beach hut colours. I love the contrast between the blues and greens. I am thinking this is definitley going to be a sweater for camping trips. 

It's the Eirys Sweater, from the Ready Set Raglan book.  Its knit in Woolstok Worsted which is one of my favourite yarns.  I have the whole green spectrum and blue spectrum and have knit solid bands of colour. The bright green will be a bigger band of colour though. No reason other than I am currently loving greens..

I'm really enjoying this knit, am hoping to get the rib done tonight and then start on the neck band, its a collar and I have a dark midnight blue for it. I'm not sure I will have enough of the greens left to do both sleeves the same to match the body so may do 1 sleeve in green stripes and then reverse the blue stripes for the other sleeve. I really don't want to have to but any more yarn!

As I have so many sweater WIPS at the moment I have ran out of needle stoppers, picking up stitches on a sock is one thing, but trying to pick up dropped stitches from a sweater is a different ball game.  I had seen these on Instagram and couldn't resist

How fab are these?, they were from Isle Stitch over on Etsy. She has some lovely things. I think I am going to use the Monstera leaves on this sweater. I'm very tempted to go and buy more. They'd make a great gift for a knitting friend. 

The goal for this week is to get the ribs done, I have gone for a split hem, and get the neck collar done. Then its only sleeve island to conquer.
