Catching up and going into the 'ber' months .

I love  time of the year, The change in the air as the cooler months come, seeing the colours start to change along the river bank where we live and the way I start to mentally prepare for the hibernating months ahead. I think Autumn is my favourite season. Saying that the temperature today has sky rocketed and its blooming hot! Rosie went out for an early walk  and we shall be staying cool in doors.

I started to pack the van yesterday for our pending big road trip up to Scotland. We are going off for 19 nights which is the longest we have ever been away in the van for. We are loosely doing the NC500  but wont be going back across to Inverness, instead making our way to Skye for a couple of nights, before heading back down to the south of England and home. It seems like a fitting end to Motorhome season and we can then send Stan the van off for some TLC before next years season.

Since the last post we celebrated hubby's birthday and visited a lovely fish restaurant called Noah's in Bristol great food and would recommend if you love fish.

Then it was our Wedding anniversary sow e headed off to Heligan for a few nights in the van. The weather was a bit iffy but we managed to get out and about without getting to wet. We visited The lost gardens of Heligan , again if you like walking and gardens this is a great place.

We walked down into Mevagissey and got rained on at various stages along the way

Then spent a quiet day chilling out and reading books

Rosie as always had a lovely time, she is so good in the van and loves just sitting outside and watching the world go by.

Then it was home and back to work . The garden is still providing us with lovely goodies but the Tomatoes are this seasons winner

Last night we headed down to Weston-Super-Mare to meet friends for a Tapas and a sundowner

It was a lovely evening, we rarely drive down to Weston for a 'night out' but it only took 25 minutes down the motorway to get there so will definitley do it again. It was a gorgeous evening, my phone camera didn't do it justice but the sunset was spectacular.

I only have 2 more working days left before I go into my longest ever holiday from work. Almost 3 weeks! Were heading off on Thursday so i''l have 1 day to finish up packing the van and getting the house sorted before we hit the road. Both boys will be home but Rosie dog is coming on the grand adventure with us .

I'm hoping to blog along the way but as I'm not sure what the Wi-Fi is going to be like it may be hit and miss. Or, as is my normal practice, you wont hear from me until I'm back.
