August bank holiday in Cornwall.

Yep, August. That's how far behind I am.

August bank holiday we headed off to Cornwall to stay with our friend. Rosie Dog came too. I will admit I was a tad nervous taking Rosie to stay in someone house but she was brilliant. Not 1 accident and very well behaved.

We stopped at Swanpool  on way down as friend lives not far from there. We have visited this beach every year that we have been together as a couple , since 1996, 25 years ! Now that's a long time. Perhaps this is why its one of my favourite beaches, so many years spent visiting as a couple, with friends and then as a family.

On Saturday we decided to head down to Marazion Beach as we could take the dogs down for a run.

Rosie had her first real dip in the sea, she had Boris the hound to keep her company and loved it. She's now quite happy to dip her toes where ever we go.

Sunday we headed down to Restronguet Creek.  It was very quiet and we managed to find some shade as it turned into quite a hot day.

We finished off the day with an evening in the local pub !
Then before we knew it it was time to come home.
We had a lovely relaxing weekend and more memories made with our dear friend.

Cruising the Norwegian Fjords.

To celebrate reaching 60 I decided to tick off one of the bucket list holidays. I am very grateful I have a good job which pays well enough ...
