Super tide.

This weekend was the super tide or Severn boar. Apparently it was a rare 5 star tide! The surge of water went 20 miles down the Severn estuary, which just happens to be not too far away from us!

The small river at the back of us took a hit

we normally walk around these barriers

This is the slip way, totally engulfed, the large rock can normally be walked around!

This was the highest we have ever seen it whilst living here. Further into the city there was some low level flooding. In the actual estuary itself there were surfers riding the waves, its lucky we have not had heavy rain or it could have been worse! Quite a bit of the path we usually walk was submerged and on the opposite side of the bank you can see just how close it was to going over the wall. we are still on flood alert and the flood barriers are still locked just a short walk from our house. The tides have peaked now so all should be well!
